Synthesis and characterization of some mixed ligand complexes of Co (II) and Co(III) with N-Ethoxycarbonylpyrrole-2-Thiocarboxamide (ETH) and various nitrogen containing heterocyclic bases

Abstract

The complexes of type [M(ETH)2(X)H2O] [M = Co(II) or Co(III); X = pyridine, βpicoline and imidazole] have been synthesized. They have been characterized by analytical analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurement, IR, and UV-visible spectroscopic methods. In all the complexes metals are six coordinate with octahedral geometry about Co (II) and Co (III).
